THE SPLIT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING

Another showbiz couple has bit the dust, but it’s come as no surprise to virtually everyone in Hollywood.

Taking to Instagram, Reese Witherspoon shared that she and husband, Jim Toth, had made the “difficult decision” to divorce; the news coming just two days before their 12th wedding anniversary.

With the couple, who share 10-year-old son Tennessee, having been in a bad place for some time, friends say they are “relieved” to be finally moving forward, and have their fingers crossed that a “Brangelina horror show divorce” isn’t on the way.

“Reese and Jim have been fleshing out this divorce for well over a year now,” says one long-time pal. “This is a controlled demolition – no dramas, no surprises and everything wrapped up in a bow for the divorce judge to sign.

“There are still some issues over their art collection, but Reese is making sure Jim’s not left destitute, despite blowing all his fortune in 2020.”

Reese and Jim married in March 2011 after first being linked in February 2010. At the time Jim, 52, controlled the careers of half of Hollywood’s A-list at top talent agency CAA, where Reese was a client.
